Juventus 0-2 Como: Vojvoda and Caqueret end unbeaten home record

Como moved to within one point of Juventus in Serie A after coming out on top against Luciano Spalletti's side at Allianz Stadium.

Juventus' unbeaten home record in Serie A this season came to an end as goals from Mergim Vojvoda and Maxence Caqueret clinched a 2-0 win for Como.

It was a result that pulled Cesc Fabregas' side to within one point of Juve in the table, while also ending Como's three-game winless run in the top flight.

Como's fast start was rewarded in the 11th minute when Vojvoda cut inside from the right and beat Michele Di Gregorio at his near post after Weston McKennie's poor giveaway.

Lois Openda should have drawn Juve level after latching onto Lloyd Kelly's searching long ball over the top, but his attempted lob was comfortably gathered by Jean Butez.

The visitors came close to punishing some poor play out of the back by Juve eight minutes before half-time, but Lucas da Cunha's fierce volley clipped the crossbar.

But Como did double their advantage just after the hour through Caqueret, who tucked home from Da Cunha's centre to round off a blistering counter from a Juve corner.

Luciano Spalletti's team struggled to create any more chances of note until six minutes before full-time, but Teun Koopmeiners' free-kick cannoned against the right-hand post as Como held firm for a potentially huge three points in their campaign.

Data Debrief: The streak is over

The Bianconeri had not been beaten at Allianz Stadium since a 4-0 defeat to Atalanta on March 9 of last year, but they saw their unbeaten stretch of 16 home league matches come to an end here.

Como registered their first top-flight victory over Juventus away from home since April 1951, while also completing a league double over them for just the second time in their Serie A history, following a run of three successive wins between November 1950 and January 1952.

And Como, who were without the suspended Nico Paz, were deserving of their win, given they ended the contest with an expected goals (xG) total of 1.41 from their 11 attempts, compared to Juventus' tally of 0.7 from the same number of shots.
